the design process
Step 1: initial meeting & estimates
The first step in the design process is a meeting at your property. This is when we look at your site and discuss what sort of garden you would like. For out-of-town projects, a site measure is completed on this visit to minimise costs. I then put together an estimate.
Step 2: site measure
Once the estimate is accepted a site analysis and measure is obtained. I then draw the site plan and begin the research and design process. The design process involves looking carefully at the potential of the site, taking into account your preferences, and the plant species appropriate for the local environment. Materials for hard landscaping are also considered at this stage.
Step 3: initial concept drawings
These are preliminary drawings and generalised planting suggestions. After discussing these with you, and making any adjustments, we then move onto the final landscape plans.
Step 4: landscape plans
The final landscape drawings are completed. These are comprehensive plans which include layout, individualised plant placement and recommended hard materials. These plans can easily be followed by the home gardener, builders and landscapers that builders and landscapers. can use to offer quotes for the construction of your new garden.
